How it works
Define your own find-and-replace rules once. The extension applies them automatically on every page you visit.
Three steps
- Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Open the popup and save a find → replace pair.
- Browse normally. Matching text is replaced automatically.
Rules
- Plain-text rules match literally (special characters are safe).
- RegEx rules match patterns, including capture groups like
$1. - Rules run in order, top to bottom. Later rules see earlier results.
- Organize rules into collections; disable any collection or rule without deleting it.
- Scope a rule to specific sites, or leave it on for all sites.
- Skip inputs, textareas, or any element with per-rule ignore selectors.
- Back up and share rules with import/export (JSON).
Where replacement applies
- Page text, including content added or updated dynamically.
- Input and textarea values, plus placeholders.
- Rich-text editors (contenteditable), such as social compose boxes.
- Pages inside frames, and open shadow-DOM components.
Replacement runs locally in your browser. Page text never leaves your device. See Privacy and Security.
Limits
Browser pages like chrome:// settings and the Web Store itself don't allow extensions to run. Local files need a one-time opt-in. Details: Compatibility · Troubleshooting · FAQ.
